Artificial intelligence

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is an umbrella term for a variety of approaches to building intelligent machines that work in ways similar to humans.  AI systems can be broadly classified into three categories: rule based systems, knowledge based systems, and hybrid systems. AI is a broad field that includes expert systems, neural networks, evolutionary computation, genetic programming, and many others.
